Do not install over soil, sand, or stone dust. Joints must be at least 1.25 inches deep, and pavers must be stable. Use a 3–4 inch base layer of clean gravel for best results. Improper base prep is the most common cause of failure. When installed correctly, it prevents weeds and lasts for decades. Pedestrian use only; not for driveways. - This product begins curing immediately once exposed to air. After opening the sealed plastic bag, the contents must be used within 45 minutes. If you plan to use only part of the bag, the remaining product must be placed in a small container and completely covered with water to prevent air exposure. Stored this way, the product can be preserved for up to three months.
- Coverage Depends on Many Factors Including Stone Size, Joint Depth, and Width. On Average, using 12" x 12" Pavers, Joints .5" Wide and 1.25" Deep, ONE Bucket Will Cover 40 SQFT. However, the most accurate way to determine coverage is to use the calculator on our website under resources.
- Reviews mentioning shorter lifespans typically result from improper installation or insufficient drainage. While our mortars are very easy to install, they do require a permeable hardscape setup to perform at their best. If the joints are installed over a non-draining base, such as compacted stone dust or concrete, moisture can remain trapped beneath the surface. This prevents the joint from curing and draining as intended and can reduce its lifespan.
