By molding a soft, synthetic rubber in a slightly larger size than traditional marimba mallets, the SM2 achieves a full, strong fundamental tone from the instrument without excessive weight, making it an ideal “soft” marimba mallet for ensemble playing. This mallet also features a slightly thicker handle for improved balance and durability. Spur is a collaboration with world-renowned percussionists, designers and educators Kevin shah and tony Nunez.
