This Solea line Artisan Edition cajon comes in stately dark olive burst. When amplification is needed, inside the cajon is a passive Piezo pickup system with tone and volume control knobs on the side panel. A quarter-inch cable jack allows you to send your signal through any amp or PA system (cables not included). Additionally, this cajon is equipped with a quarter-inch “link” jack where can link other Meinl passive pickup instruments through this cajon's system and control their output with the cajon's dials. Great for eliminating the need for additional amps or outputs to minimize your setup. Solea line Artisan Edition cajons feature two groupings of four pre-tuned custom hand-wound steel cajon strings that span across the inside of the playing surface for a beautifully responsive snare effect. An internal bass reflex system re-directs sound waves inside the cajon to elongate low end frequency. This gives the frequencies more time to develop inside the body of the cajon, resulting in an enhanced bass tone with plenty of thud. The exquisite Baltic birch playing surface is rounded at the corners and sanded down to form thumb notches where your hands lay in their natural position. This gives you exceptional contact with the cajon along with more comfort. The 9-ply, 12mm thick Baltic birch resonating body develops the sound into a full, punchy tone that projects with clarity and warmth. This cajon measures 11 ¼” W x 19” H x 11 ¾” D.
